Catherine Seda cseda@balzac.com While working in publishing in Manhattan, Catherine volunteered on weekends and during vacation time for wineries in the Hudson Valley and Finger Lakes region. When she found herself grinning from ear to ear just cleaning out steel wine tanks, she decided she belonged in the wine industry. After packing her car and driving west, Catherine spent several years at a winery in Napa Valley learning everything from marketing and sales to what a bung hole really is. Getting back to her love of writing, Catherine then worked for wine educator and writer, Karen MacNeil. Karen wrote the Bible, and Catherine learned a ton about both wine and writing from her. Enter Balzac. "At Balzac, I get to create. I write press kits, website content and marketing reports for companies all over the world--all of them in wine. It's a perfect combination of my two loves." Catherine says. In fact, Catherine can often be seen jumping around in her seat while working on something for our clients. We're thinking of restraining straps but she's hard to pin down.
